Cooperation between Libya and Egypt in Education

The Libyan minister of education, Suliam Asaheli, met his Egyptian counterpart, Ibraim Ganim and discussed the needs of Libyan educational process and how to supply such shortage, especially in the fields of school buildings, educational curricula, school books, teachers in some areas and the book printing process.

A field study was conducted to highlight the shortage of teaching classrooms and the population in each area in order to satisfy their needs.

Suliam Asaheli presented a project of constructing 170schools of 6 to 10 classrooms and another project of developing the pedagogical syllabi and fulfill the shortage of teacher.

The project is to prepare teachers in the rural area of less population and to train and qualify teachers.

Other programs were adopted in Libya as to insert technology in teach methods as well as the most updated syllabi.

According to the minister, the plight of the Libyan people is the lack of good pedagogical curricula as the previous regime work hard on glorify itself without focusing on the output of teachers and intake of students.
